In-App Deletion
PreferredThe fastest way to delete your account is directly within the app:
- Open Backchannel
- Tap Settings in the bottom navigation bar
- Scroll to the Account section
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm by typing DELETE when prompted
All account data is permanently deleted immediately.
By Email
If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by email:

What Happens to Your Data
Permanently Deleted by Us
- Your Firebase Authentication account
- All topic configurations
- All generated research briefs
- Your reading and listen history
- All app settings and preferences
Not Deleted by Us
- RevenueCat subscription records
- Google Play purchase history
RevenueCat manages subscription records per their own retention policy — see revenuecat.com/privacy. Google Play purchase history is managed by Google.
